September Update: Things are Taking Shape

Things are really starting to come together for next year’s Midsummer Festival, and September has been a busy month behind the scenes!

We’ve been getting in touch with stallholders, musicians and performers, as well as reaching out to lots of people and organisations across out local community. We’ve also been busy building the festival website, which will be the place to find all the latest news, information and ways to get involved as we get closer to the big day.

We have plans to decorate a festival themed Christmas tree this year at St Mary’s Annual Christmas Tree festival. Giving us a slightly more unusual opportunity to spread the word. 🎄

We need you!

One of our biggest priorities at the moment is finding volunteers. Whether you can spare a couple of hours, help with setting up, run an activity, welcome visitors or lend a hand behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you. Please click on the contact us page to get in touch.

We’re delighted that this year we’ll be fundraising for the Children’s Hospice South West, supporting the incredible work they do with children, young people and their families.

This time, we’re taking on a Bed of Nails Challenge!

Our sponsorship pages are already live, so fundraising can begin long before anyone has time to contemplate voluntarily lying on hundreds of nails!

But fundraising is only one part of what the festival is about. Our first aim is to simply serve our community and create a day where people can come together, have fun and feel welcome. Along the way, we hope to raise plenty of money for a brilliant charity and introduce more people to the friendly, welcoming community at Callington Methodist Church.

There’s lots more still to come, and we’re incredibly excited to see the festival taking shape.

Thank you x

May God bless all the hands and hearts helping to make this festival possible. May is bring joy, friendship, kindness and fun to our community and create a place where everyone knows they are welcome ❤️
